Mold Repair Floater - Greater Napanee, Canada - G.T. Machining and Fabricating Ltd.

Description

• Repair, vent, clean, blast, disassemble/assemble segmented and nonsegmented tire molds.
• Maintain required documentation and record keeping.
• Mandatory rotation onto Dry Ice Venter crew as required for leave/vacation coverage.

• Regular; fulltime position.
• Day and afternoon shift rotation:

• Monday to Friday
• 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (8hrs)

• Monday to Thursday 3:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. (10hrs)

• Sunday to Saturday; 11.5hr shifts; 7:30am to 7:30pm and 7:30pm to 7:30am.
• May be short notice.
• Starting rate: $21.00 per hour.

• Prior repair and/or maintenance work in a manufacturing environment (1 year minimum) would be an asset.
• Requires strong technical skills and basic blueprint reading.
• Experience with operation of lift truck, hoist, airpowered hand tools, grinder, and painting and lubrication of metal segments/parts.
• Good eye and hand coordination with extreme attention to detail and accuracy.
• Clean and maintain equipment and ensure the proper use, repair, and storage of materials, tools, and equipment.
• Must be physically fit to perform the lifting requirements from floor to table.
• Prior blast booth experience and asset.
• Operate machine while dressed in protective suit and air supply helmet. Must not be claustrophobic to perform the essential duties of this position.
• Must be able to work with mínimal supervision and in a team work environment.
• Must be available for rotating continental shift work; Sunday through Saturday; 7:30am to 7:30pm and 7:30pm to 7:30am short notice.
• Must be willing to obtain Class "D" driver's license within 6 months of hire. The company agrees to cover the cost of expenses to meet this requirement, however, the successful applicant must agree to repay these monies should they terminate their employment agreement before 18 months from commencement of training.
