- Overall responsibility for inventory management functions to ensure materials are available to support operational requirements in a cost effective manner;
- Interact with user groups to ensure effective inventory support;
- Execute inventory management strategies and stock classification parameters;
- Manage inventory creation, integrity (count) and replenishment processes;
- Establish processes in order to manage obsolete materials and measure overall inventory performance;
- Support annual audit requirements, maintain up-to-date records and report on monthly activities;
- Communicate and demonstrate Detour Gold's mission and values;
- Promote a positive health, safety and environment culture and the Internal Responsibility System. WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED;
- Minimum 5 years' experience in inventory management in an industrial setting;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is essential;
- Experience with inventory management software applications such as SAP;
- Knowledge and understanding of mechanical components preferred;
- Demonstrated commitment to safe working practices;
- Experience working at a remote work site is an asset;
- Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
- Schedule: 14/14 schedule at our Detour Lake Mine;
- Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides transportation to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.

:Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor and Supply Chain Superintendentyou will be part of the Supply Chain Department. The Inventory Management Specialist will be responsible for the management of inventory to support operations, in accordance with policies, procedures and applicable laws and regulations.You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle's values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
