ICLs will ensure compliance with policies and procedures relevant to the university or funding agency with community priorities in focus; learn and mentor toward the Two-Eyed Seeing guiding principle and other collaborative, interdisciplinary, and cross-cultural approaches to community-based research; provide support for community-based activities and initiatives; support researchers in developing and applying innovative techniques for engagement of Indigenous, community, and industry partners; conduct regular check-ins with community partners and researchers on specific project milestones, deliverables, and accountability measures to ensure equitable and cohesive engagement throughout; and perform other related duties as required. Regional ICLs will join various committees ex-officio and as an active member as part of the project's governance structure. The position will be based in the Bay of Islands region but require some travel within the region, as needed.
