Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide active role in problem solving efforts on key projects to improve quality, reduce cost and/or improve cycle time and productivity.
- Identify and address safety, efficiency, quality improvement opportunities in conjunction with manufacturing personnel and supervisors.
- Identifying and monitoring production machine parameters.
- Ensuring production processes run smoothly and efficiently.
- Provide technical support to all projects, perform root cause analysis and work to reduce any defects
- Perform the Set Up Technician's essential functions as and when required
- Modify and manage existing equipment and processes to meet customer requirements, product and production requirements.
- Support manufacturing lines to reduce scrap and improve efficiency to meet plant goal.
- Comply with requirements and assist in maintenance of the necessary quality standards (IATF16949/ISO14001) to ensure recertification.
Minimum Qualifications
- Four (4) year university / college engineering program or relevant program with experience
- Good understanding and knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Excellent analytical and observational skills
- Sound knowledge of industrial machines and mechanical processes.
- Advanced reportwriting skills.
- Ability to work shifts and possibly nights.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Selfdirected, highly motivated team member
Rate of Pay:
$28/hr
