The Manager of Aftermarket Products and AHMS Program Management is responsible for executing the roadmap of our in-service business aircraft product and service offerings, from concept to entry-into-service, and managing the existing product portfolio.


In your role, you will:


  • Be accountable from a program management standpoint of the development and operationalization of new Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs) for aircraft modifications and upgrades and connected aircraft technologies including the development of sustainable processes and tools in collaboration with the Parts and Service Center Operations teams.
  • Support and collaborate with Product Planning team in the creation of product roadmaps ensuring incorporation of emerging technologies, industry and regulatory changes as well as market trends.
  • Focus product development efforts on customer needs while drawing on a detailed understanding of competitor's products, evolving customer needs, industry trends, and emerging technologies related to business aircraft.
  • Lead the management and optimization of Bombardier's extensive portfolio of thousands of Aftermarket product offerings to ensure competitiveness.
  • Manage team of program managers responsible for executing our yearly product development pipeline, including meeting schedule as well as budget commitments for Revenues and Costs, in collaboration with internal and external teams.
  • Support procurement team in negotiations with Suppliers to ensure aftermarket needs are met for the development and commercialization of aftermarket products and services.
  • Oversee the market introductions of new products including the marketing launch and training of sales team and support staff on product benefits.
  • Drive engineering teams to find creative and innovative technical solutions to meet market/customer requirements.
  • Set objectives and Key Performance Indicators in line with strategic goals and track execution against these.
  • Be accountable for the number of new product introductions brought to market as well as competitiveness of the product portfolio.
  • Manage a team of engineering and business professionals ensuring strong employee engagement. Provide coaching in key program management competencies including technical proficiency, negotiation, problem solving, effective communication, business acumen, impact and influence, and customer focus.
  • Define and track personal objectives for team members in Performance Management Process (PMP) and develop and track team member's progress to Personal Development Plans (PDP)
  • Recruit personnel as required to fill gaps in team capability.
  • Manage department budget, including approval and control of employee expenses.

Qualifications

  • You have a university degree in engineering, preferably aerospace, mechanical or software with a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the aerospace industry or in business aviation.
  • You have experience in a management role or demonstrated leadership.
  • You have an MBA (definite asset) alternatively significant business experience as a requirement.
  • You have indepth knowledge of the aviation industry, including technical aspects, e.g. existing and emerging aviation technologies
  • You possess strong corporate agility, strong soft skills, credibility, and the persuasiveness required to influence decisions without having formal authority.
  • You possess high level of problem solving, including strategic and technical problem solving with internal and external stakeholders.
  • You must have strong oral and written English communications skills. Functional French communication skills is also required.
  • You are capable of presenting complex ideas to a senior audience in a compelling manner.
  • You have strong business & financial acumen, strategic mindset, easily switches between micro and big picture view.
