    Investment Banking Analyst/Associate

    How does the role impact the organization?

    Our Investment Banking team of over 350 bankers across North America focuses on servicing corporate finance and financial advisory needs. We offer a comprehensive range of capital markets services, including mergers & acquisitions, public offerings, private placements, and syndication. Our advisory services include mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, fairness opinions, and valuations.

    The Analyst/Associate role provides significant business development and transaction experience. The ideal candidate will demonstrate initiative, exceptional communication and presentation skills, and academic excellence.

    What will your responsibilities include?

    • Collaborate with Analysts, Associates, VPs, and senior bankers across Canada and the US;
    • Conduct financial modeling, analysis, DCF, comparable company, and precedent transaction analyses;
    • Perform data analysis and industry research;
    • Build and maintain financial models and industry databases;
    • Update and maintain valuation tools and databases;
    • Assist in preparing transaction documents, pitch-books, and company profiles for business development.

    What do we expect from you?

    • Strong financial analysis and modeling skills;
    • Knowledge of finance principles and capital markets;
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and eagerness to learn new tools;
    • Analytical and quantitative skills;
    • Ability to meet deadlines in a high-volume environment with attention to detail;
    • Excellent communication and relationship management skills, including face-to-face, email, videoconferencing, and phone etiquette;
    • Ability to work independently and in teams;
    • Discretion in handling confidential information;
    • Proficiency in French is an asset.

    Educational and experience requirements

    • Undergraduate degree in business or related field, or CFA/CA/CPA/CBV designation;
    • 1-3 years of experience in investment banking or related fields;
    • Recent graduates encouraged to apply;
    • Experience with Capital IQ and Bloomberg is a plus.
