Description

• Install locks and locking hardware in a variety of different materials using all different tools
• Understanding of card access and the way low voltage wiring and strike installations are to be installed
• Installing of automatic door operators and barrier free washroom kits
• Basic knowledge of safes and combination changing
• The ability to install and hang steel doors and frames
• Maintain inventory on company service vehicle to effectively perform service calls
• Monitor vehicle for potential service issues and promptly report any concerns to management
• Work efficiently in small teams to complete daily tasks and assignments
• Rotate the afterhours phone between other employees and respond to emergency calls
• Remain in contact with the Service Manager throughout the day

• 2 + years of experience with lock smith / door technician
• Electrical / mechanical repair skills are considered an asset
• AAADM Certification an asset
• Welding experience is an asset
• Must have a valid G Class driver's license
• Strong communication and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willing and able to work on a rotating oncall schedule when required
