Knight Archer Insurance is seeking a full-time
Payroll Specialist to support our Finance and Human Resources divisions based at our headquarters in Regina, SK.

A Day in the Life:


  • Processing biweekly payroll for all employees using the Ceridian payroll service while ensuring accurate and timely records.
  • Working closely with the Finance Division and Human Resources when it come to onboarding new employees, updating salaries, benefits, and other deductions.
  • Assisting employees with their payroll, deductions, and RRSPrelated questions.
  • Generating and remitting year end reports and ROE's as required.
  • Quarterly audits on leave entitlements and payroll expenditures.
  • Generating automated reports for Finance and HR.
  • Complying and keeping todate with federal and provincial financial legal requirements and Canadian payroll legislations.
  • Updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned by CFO or Vice President, HR.

  • Familiarity with payroll legislations across Canada.
  • Experience using advanced functions of computers including: Windows based software such as Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel and Outlook an indepth knowledge of payroll, and of procedures related to accounts payable and receivables.

Education and Experience:


  • Canadian Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation is required.
  • Completion of postsecondary education with focus on accounting and payroll.
  • Experience working in an office environment is preferred, but not necessary.
  • Bonus points for additional certifications relating to position.
  • Experience using Ceridian and Dayforce is an asset.
  • Familiarity with group benefits premiums and RRSP remittances is an asset.
  • Minimum two years in a computerized payroll environment.
