The Design Practice (DCX) is responsible for the user experience of customer and employee facing touchpoints for banking, investing, and insurance, including but not limited to websites, smart phone, smart watch, and tablet apps.

This is an exciting time in the Design Practice as we are looking for an experienced Change Management specialist to help us drive forward the Design Change Management roadmap and Champion Human centered design at TD for both US and Canada.

This role reports to the Senior Manager, Design Practice Enablement Ambassador/Strategist for the Design Practice.


Job Description:

  • Create change strategy and develop change management plans tailored to meet business/practice
- objectives, monitor progress against plan, triage issues which may arise, and coach leaders through
- overcoming barriers and mitigating risks.

  • Build change management awareness and capability within business leaders, stakeholder groups
- and across transformation efforts or program teams

  • Engage all impacted stakeholders through appropriate activities and tactics, including those who can most
- influence the successful outcome of the adoption of change.

  • Lead, manage and/or contribute to change management workstreams within initiatives, providing
- clear guidance during times of ambiguity.

  • Enable benefit realization through a focus on increasing adoption and proficiency, driving ongoing
- sustainment of new ways of working.

  • Drive connectivity and awareness of changes and impacts across functions and partners in the enterprise.
  • Assess the impact of changes (people/process/technology) and provide insights to better inform
- business decisions.

  • Work collaboratively with assigned business units, programs and/or existing business partners to
- proactively plan and mitigate the expected resistance and risks associated with change.

  • Create and communicate TD's change methodology, tools and frameworks, and provide research and
- advice regarding best-in-class change management practices and approaches.

  • Develop, monitor, and report on the change management roadmap within a business or across businesses,
- and triage conflicts or risks which may arise amongst the implementation of multiple initiatives.


Accountabilities:


  • Formulate change management strategies and associated plans, approaches and activities that drive adoption of change and contribute to benefit realization, aligned to business needs.
  • Develop and implement change plans and associated activities that drive adoption of change and that promote a positive leader and colleague experience.
  • Demonstrate an aptitude for people as well as organizational change management approaches
  • Proactively identify and promote a positive employee experience within the Design organization, as well as across TD's lines of business.
  • Consult with senior stakeholders to ensure change management is meeting the needs of the business.
  • Provide recommendations and direction based on the endtoend employee experience when making decisions.
  • Lead a diverse range of stakeholders; communicate effectively assessing potential change processes and diverse audience issues / objectives.
  • Provide ongoing communication to key stakeholders, including the Practice leader, Practice Ambassador and Design leadership to ensure they are aware of significant changes which impact change delivery.
  • Interpret internal/external business challenges and the industry environment, recommends course of action and best practices to improve change management efficacy.
  • Work autonomously as the lead and guides others within area of expertise.
  • Collaborate with partners across TD to drive successful adoption of change, e.g., communications, training, process, etc.
  • Lead and own the deliverables related to change management to meet the needs of the employee,
- business that drives successful adoption of change.

  • Assess and ensure that employee experience / stakeholder impacts are appropriately identified, understood, and managed.
  • Leverage sophisticated analytical thinking to exercise sound judgement and identify highimpact and colleague and custom
