Job Description:


AECOM Buildings & Places business line is seeking a Project Coordinator for immediate employment in the Whitby, ON office.


Job Summary:
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Assists the Project Manager with planning and execution of project activities for multi disciplinary building engineering design projects,
  • Coordinates project work with design groups such as Architecture, Industrial, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, rails, and Civil,
  • Plays an active role in records management, budget tracking, and scheduling, and
  • Prepares meeting minutes, reports, and other documents.
  • Attends site visits and Clients' meeting.

Qualifications:


Minimum Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or relevant field of study) and 2 years related professional experience working as a project coordinator in an engineering business or demonstrated equivalency of experience or education.
  • Registered or in process to register with the Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO)

Preferred Qualifications:


  • 5+ years of experience preferred
  • Experience coordinating and preparing design submissions for Site Services Connections and Building Permit approvals
  • Experience working within a consulting engineering business,
  • Must have an understanding of fundamental building science,
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and related documentation,
  • Team player with excellent listening skills; willingness to work with multiple different colleagues on a variety of initiatives,
  • Ability to work in a highpaced environment with a sense of urgency,
  • Outstanding oral communication, written and presentation skills,
  • Strong organizational skills ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously,
  • Consultative, serviceoriented mindset and collaborative problemsolving skills, and
  • Proactive and goaloriented, with the ability to work independently and manage change effectively.
