We work closely with leaders and their units to gain a deep understanding of their specific needs and challenges.

Our team offers a wide range of comprehensive HR guidance and support, encompassing workforce planning, organizational design, employee engagement, recruitment, retention, and leadership advice and coaching.

About the Role

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) provides proactive guidance, coaching and consultative service to client groups across various University units, ensuring effective people practices are at the forefront of decision making.

The position is responsible for developing a strong understanding of academic and business goals and partners with clients to develop people plans that support and enable attainment of objectives, within a complex unionized environment.

The HRBP provides day-to-day hands-on human resources support, guidance and advice to leaders and employees within client group(s), leveraging specialized expertise of colleagues within the HR Centres of Excellence.

This involves supporting and guiding a variety of HR functions and initiatives such as recruitment and selection, learning and development, onboarding, resolution of complex issues, and ensuring effective HR practices, procedures and documentation are in place.
