Job Description:


AECOM is in need of a Document Controller to work with our client TTC on some of their high-profile public Transit projects.

The job incumbent will be offered a regular, full-time position with AECOM and work on secondment to TTC. The secondment is expected to last one year - with a possibility of extension.

Roles and Responsibilities


  • Manage Document Controllers through monitoring document control activities and ensuring activities are performed accurately on time
  • Provide advice and guidance on document control management processes
  • Develop and maintain Document Control Management Plans for the various projects
  • Develop document control framework and guidelines that are in line with corporate document control policy and industry best practices
  • Build document control competence through increasing understanding of document control principles
  • Develop key document control performance indicators, performs regular data analytics with associated tracking & reporting and develop action plans
  • Establish and manage the workflow of documents throughout review processes to and from various departments and external consultants/contractors
  • Interface with project teams to establish the required support for Document Control processes
  • Accountable for continuous improvement of the document control capability drawing on previous experience and industry best practices

Qualifications:


Minimum Requirements:

University Degree and a 4 (four) + years experience in supervising document control staff and in document control management working with SharePoint Electronic Document

A combination of education, training and experience deemed equivalent may also be considered.


Preferred Requirements:


  • Experience with Management System (EDMS) or equivalent, preferably in an engineering, construction or Project Management industry
  • Organizational and coordination skills to establish and monitor document control processes
  • Knowledge of project documentation and engineering terminology
  • Certification in ARMA/ AIIM/ICRM association as document control professional is an asset
