Fine Dining Bartender at a French Restaurant

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled bartender to join our team at a prestigious French fine dining restaurant.

As a Fine Dining Bartender, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional beverage service to our discerning clientele.

Your expertise in crafting exquisite cocktails, extensive knowledge of wines and spirits, and commitment to providing outstanding customer service will contribute to creating a memorable dining experience for our guests.


Responsibilities:


Beverage Preparation:

Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, wines, spirits, and specialty drinks, with precision and attention to detail.


Menu Knowledge:

Possess a comprehensive understanding of the restaurant's beverage offerings, including French wines, aperitifs, digestifs, and traditional cocktails, in order to make recommendations and guide guests in their selections.


Mixology Skills:

Showcase exceptional mixology skills by creating innovative and classic cocktails, ensuring each drink is crafted with precision, consistency, and presentation excellence.


Guest Interaction:

Interact with guests in a professional and engaging manner, taking orders, answering questions, and providing detailed information about the beverage options and pairing suggestions.


Bar Maintenance:

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including regular inventory checks, restocking supplies, and ensuring the bar is appropriately stocked with premium spirits, mixers, and garnishes.


Collaborative Teamwork:

Work closely with the restaurant's kitchen and waitstaff to ensure seamless coordination of food and beverage service, maintaining a high level of communication and teamwork.


Compliance and Safety:

Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations, ensuring responsible alcohol service and maintaining proper cleanliness and hygiene standards in the bar area.


Training and Development:

Stay updated with the latest beverage trends, attend training sessions, and actively participate in professional development opportunities to expand your knowledge and skills.


Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a bartender in a highend, fine dining establishment, preferably with a focus on French cuisine and culture.
  • Strong knowledge of French wines, spirits, and classic cocktails, as well as the ability to suggest suitable pairings.
  • Excellent mixology skills, including the ability to create original, visually appealing, and delicious cocktails.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to interact confidently and knowledgeably with guests, ensuring a personalized experience.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage a highvolume bar and deliver prompt service without compromising quality.
  • Familiarity with bar equipment and tools, along with the ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
  • A passion for the hospitality industry, a positive attitude, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required in the fine dining industry.

Salary:
$15.50-$18.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

  • Tips

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Toronto, ON M5C 2W1: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

- serving: 3 years (preferred)


  • Bartending: 3 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Smart Serve (required)

Shift availability:

  • Night Shift (preferred)
