National Tube Supply Canada, one of the industry leading metals service centers specializing in carbon and alloy tubular products, is seeking an experienced
Buyer professional in our
Mississauga, ON office.
In this position, job duties include but not limited to:
Review and Manage Inventory
- Have regular meetings with merchandising managers to understand mill allocations
- Coordinate with sales group on contractual business and appropriate inventory levels
- Provide updates to sales team on supply chain issues
- Daily review of branch inventory
Manage purchasing volume of $12-18 million annually
- Purchase material from various mills all over the world
- Variety of products mainly consisting of HFS, DOM, CDS, chrome bars, 4140
- Understanding of tariffs and duties on material inbound to Canada
Administrative
- Secure quotes from suppliers
- Enter purchase orders
- Enter transfer orders from US branches to maintain stock levels
- Track orders with suppliers and update system with correct delivery dates
- Review all paperwork to assure material matches the PO
- Update PO's with any cost changes
