Your Role and Responsibilities


Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for Marwood wide stamping process improvements (cycle times etc.)
  • Attend die design reviews
  • Test various types of sensors, record and compare data
  • Create and install sensor packages for dies
  • Build necessary testing equipment, i.e. test cart for dies
  • Troubleshooting/testing of problematic sensors
  • Organize and order stock, maintain inventory
  • Establish contacts with various sensor companies
  • Create necessary drawings with CAD for sensor blocks, levers, plungers, etc.
  • Work with tool contractors, machine shops and specialty services to develop tool and product prototypes
  • Test functional performance of tooling and parts
  • Research and development of new methods and technology
  • Drive PDCA loops to improve speeds and stop times
  • Eliminate sensor related downtime
  • Report out weekly to management on improvement activities
  • All other relevant duties

Key Requirements:

  • Grade 12 Diploma
  • Recognized Trades License; preference for dual trade
  • Computer efficiency
years' related experience in Tier I Automotive manufacturing
