    The Zero-Emission Vehicles (ZEV) Advocate will play a critical role in the execution of CAA Atlantic's Zero-Emission Vehicle strategy and our vision of becoming the leader of ZEV adoption in Atlantic Canada.

    As the ZEV Advocate, you will establish yourself and CAA Atlantic as the most trusted and knowledgeable resource in Atlantic Canada by conducting interviews, writing articles, responding to social posts and being present at all events relevant to ZEV. You will be recognized as the face of EV in Atlantic Canada.

    Key to success in this role, you will establish relationships with key partners in all four Atlantic provinces in order to unify and amplify the incredible work being done by the many organizations supporting the future of ZEV.

    The Zero-Emission Vehicles Advocate reports to Director of Social Responsibility & Advocacy as part of the greater Strategy & Innovation Team at CAA Atlantic.

    Qualifications

    The following skills and qualifications will be required to carry out this role:

    • University graduate in a relevant discipline
    • 10+ years of relevant work experience
    • 3+ years of direct experience with electric vehicles or zero-emission vehicles
    • Extensive experience in presenting and public speaking
    • Demonstrated proficiency in project management
    • Expertise in partnership development & stakeholder engagement
    • Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset
    • Must possess a valid Canadian driver's license. Driver's abstract will be requested as part of the recruitment process.
    • Up to 20% travel may be required
    • Ability to use laptop and accompanying technology

    Responsibilities

    What you will be doing on the job:

    • Execute CAA Atlantic's ZEV Strategy
    • Act as the public expert and spokesperson on ZEVs in Atlantic Canada
    • Independently and proactively develop and lead all ZEV initiatives
    • Foster, manage and develop all external ZEV stakeholder relationships and key industry partners
    • Identify and manage grant applications
    • Proactively seek out key public engagements such as conferences, speaking and media opportunities
    • Utilize the ZEV budget to achieve ZEV initiatives and hit key project metrics
    • Act in CAA Atlantic's member's best interests with regards to ZEVs
    • Manage ZEV summer staff
    • Stay informed about technological advancements and industry trends in ZEVs
    • Ensure operational, financial, and educational aspects of ZEV projects are well-managed, aligning with strategic goals
    • Other duties assisting the Director of Social Responsibility & Advocacy as required
