Our incredible location based on the doorstep of Glacier National Park gives our team and guests spectacular access to all the beauty and wonders the mountains have to offer.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Ensure the quality of food being prepared is to recipe standard each and every time
Items are produced quickly and efficiently with pride and attention to detail
Keep the work area, utensils and production equipment clean and sanitized
Restock items as needed while on duty
Perform all opening, closing and cleaning tasks as instructed
Adhere to Health and Safety policies and procedures outlined in the Health and Safety Program
Follow safe food handling procedures at all times

QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous experience cooking and handling food in a highvolume, casual fine dining restaurant is an asset
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
This position may include lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
Able to work flexible shifts
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Punctuality
First Aid certification is an asset
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Strong solution based thinking ability

Heather Mountain Lodge is home to a large number of our seasonal staff. Our location just off of highway 1 allows staff to choose between utilizing the staff accommodation for the season or commuting from the town of Golden.

Management encourages team members to achieve this by enjoying all of the amenities the lodge has to offer, including our employee lounge area with a bouldering wall and our wood burning sauna.
Our Lodge sits on the doorstep of Glacier National Park which provides staff easy access to some of the worlds best touring/hiking terrain the mountains have to offer. As our Lodge is based right off of Highway 1, staff can enjoy the lodge life while still having access to the town of Golden in their off time, where you can hike and explore all the trails the area has to offer, or enjoy a dinner in town or a movie night at the theater
Opportunity for growth within the organization

Starting Wage and Compensation:

- $20 per hour

Hourly based share of Heather Mountain Lodge Tip Pool
Full time accommodations and 3 Meals per Day (7 days a week) provided during regular operating seasons $12 per day. Housing is a shared room with 1 other employee and shared washroom with up to 4 employees
Pay back bonus of $25 per week at the end of the season for full completion of contract term
