Description
General Duties:
- Plan, organize, direct and supervise the activities of the Dietary Department to ensure the provision of high quality food service.
- Develop and ensure the use of standardized recipes. Oversee meal preparation and participate in its preparation.
- Supervise meal service to ensure appropriate portion control and resident acceptance.
- Follow Canada Food Guide standards and healthy meal preparation standards.
- Ensure sanitation regulations pertaining to food preparation and food premises are followed.
- Coordinate Dietary services with other departments as required.
- Adhere to established policies and procedures.
- Participate in all functions of the kitchen.
- Follow all health & safety policies.
Qualifications:
- Food safety and handling certification
- Vulnerable Position Screening
- Be knowledgeable of and practice residence's fire and safety programs.

- Job Duties: Prepare, season and cook food as directed, meeting dietary requirements where required, Follow recipes and presentation specifications, Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation, Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
Job Types:

Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
COVID-19 considerations:
Staff are required to wear masks. Regular sanitization of surfaces as per Public Health Protocols.
Experience:
- cooking: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred)
