Position Overview:

Under general direction and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of the St.

Boniface General Hospital, the EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT is responsible for providing comprehensive and confidential administrative and secretarial support directly to an Executive Director.


Experience:


  • Four (4) years secretarial and administrative experience, preferably working for an Executive in a large health care organization.
  • Previous supervisory experience is preferred in positions where incumbents supervise staff.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate):


  • Grade XII or recognized equivalent.
  • Successful completion of a recognized administrative assistant or executive assistant program.
  • Additional courses in business administration or human resource management would be an asset.

SPECIAL TRAINING/SKILLS:


  • Keyboarding speed: 65 wpm.
  • Shorthand/Speedwriting skills and/or ability to take notes and minutes on a laptop.
  • Dictatyping skills.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand French may be required in certain positions.

Qualifications and Skills:


  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Ability to retain information which is of a confidential nature.
  • Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt readily to stressful situations and to meet deadlines.
