Summary of Role


The Montreal Health & Benefits (H&B) Office LOB Leader (OLL) is a key member of the Regional H&B leadership team.

In this role, you will have ultimate accountability for the H&B business and team in the market, with a majority of the role's success metrics tied to growing revenue and talent.

This includes revenue growth, direct expense management, and profitability; colleague attraction, development and engagement; and client and colleague retention.

The OLL is effectively the Growth Leader of the market, responsible for building and executing the growth plan to meet/exceed the expected results.

The OLL will be responsible for building the WTW brand externally, and leading key new client pursuits.

The role will report to the Health & Benefits Region Leader (RL).


The Role

  • Have primary accountability for building and executing a business strategy to meet stated growth, retention, staffing and profitability goals
  • Manage local H&B new business pipeline and sales opportunities, working closely with Producers, Senior Sellers, Client Relationship Directors/Lead Relationship Managers, H&B Region Leaders and Insights & Solutions Leaders

Note:
For larger markets and at the discretion of the Region Leader, the OLL will identify a Local Sales Leader (LSL) to oversee the sales efforts in the markets, collaborate with the Regional Sales Leader, and drive effective new business sales execution

  • Serve as a "player/coach," generating new business development opportunities while enhancing, through coaching or hiring, regional and local business development and client management capabilities
  • Build external WTW brand in local market (e.g., participate in local affinity groups; host local marketing events; network in local talent market)
  • Develop client strategies to build, retain, and grow profitable relationships including identification of crossLOB opportunities
  • For larger markets, the OLL will identify a resource to support talent and operations activities including:
  • Manage the day-to-day resourcing for clients, demand planning and execution of the organization's business operations; manage operational delivery; measure operational performance; and ensure effective governance, controls, and compliance mechanisms are established to support corporate strategy and goals
  • Lead recruiting/talent management
  • Manage overall operational effectiveness of the market
  • Support the dissemination of Sales, Insights & Solutions and Commercialization outputs through the market
  • Work collaboratively with other H&B OLLs to develop and execute sales and talent strategies
  • Manage overall talent pipeline within market
  • Have primary accountability for developing and executing on strategic staffing plans with appropriate leverage models to support all market segments. Includes all people processes (recruiting, deployment, performance management, and development)
  • Build colleague engagement in the market including creative approaches to adapt to the WTW Ways of Working
  • Work with Region Leader, local Geography Leaders and other OLLs to execute Region plan, with a focus on H&B priorities and initiatives
  • Support local market adherence to H&B Excellence Model
  • Lead broad team of colleagues across all market segments
  • Serve as People Manager for senior colleagues
  • Report to the Health & Benefits Region Leader
Act as a member of Regional H&B Leadership Team and local Geography Leadership Team


The Requirements

  • Strong experience in leading and developing teams
  • Strong experience in developing and managing an active talent pipeline '
  • Proven track record of individual success in generating new revenue with new or existing clients as they relate to health and benefits services
  • Deep knowledge and expertise in health and benefits design and management
  • Track record of success in managing and expanding client relationships
  • Lead strategic efforts that define new opportunities for achieving competitive advantage
  • Proven ability to establish relationships and work collaboratively with team members across the organization and at all levels, to effectively deliver on client needs across all market segments
  • An executive presence with polished and well developed written and oral communication skills
  • Interest and aptitude in keeping abreast of latest developments in health care and benefit trends and contributing to the development of new tools and approaches
  • Indepth knowledge of the market, H&B NA capabilities, and broader WTW offerings
  • Resultsoriented with ability to effectively manage to KPIs
  • Comfortable with change and uncertainty and able to work through ambiguity
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong business acumen, strategic planning, organizational, and creative thinking skills
