The Role of SalesForce Analyst

Job Purpose:

To manage a backlog of change from Sales, Service and Finance understanding the overall impact of changes in order to support prioritization decisions to ensure that changes, reports and new features align with the sales process and are sympathetic with the current implementation.


Job Overview:

Managing change to and data provision from a SalesForce org with over 150 seats in a sales lead context with a large appetite for optimization through data lead change.

Supporting sales team optimization to generate revenues of several millions.


Day-to-Day Duties and Responsibilities

  • Elicit, elaborate and maintain vision, drivers and CSF's
  • Identify stakeholders, their role and engage them to determine their needs
  • Breakdown features into independent features that have value, can be estimated, are appropriately sized and testable
  • Support the product owner in development of a release plan
  • Elaborate requirements collaboratively with other members of the team and the stakeholders
  • Express the requirement as a suitably sized feature that is independent where the value is clear the feature can be estimated and tested
  • Support testing of features by being the requirement authority for a feature
  • Have sufficient detail to plan the feature when appropriate.
  • Design the detail of a campaign based on the analysis of acquired data
  • Manage the campaign, report progress, results and changes proposed based on the results
  • Agree a single version of the truth for the commercial success of the campaign and all lead sources
  • Reconcile campaign against conversion
  • Reconcile campaign performance with OI/MI/BI data
  • Provide adhoc reporting to the Board of Directors.

What you Bring to the Team

  • Ability to understand a sales organizations process and data needs to support the optimization of the organization
  • Ability to understand the impact of proposed changes and support the prioritization of those changes in order to maximize benefit from investment
  • Experience of working in a Salesforce context in a sales lead organization so able to understand the process, and data needs and support required
  • Able to communicate a complicated problem succinctly accurately and coherently to a team with different skill sets.
  • Able to negotiate and compromise solutions and find the balance between best practice, expediency and longer term maintenance costs
  • Exhibit cross functional behaviour and support other competencies within the company
  • Ability to communicate with many roles in the business in a way that can easily be understood, to negotiate with the senior and inexperienced colleagues to determine why a feature should be built and what the feature should be in order to support the business goals.
  • Demonstrate, discuss and permeate current good practice in the skills specific to your professional family across other members of your professional family
