Position:
CNC Machine Operator

We are a top-growing fabrication company in Cornwall, Ontario who services the commercial and industrial sector. Projects include custom metal fabrication, structural & misc steel, pressure vessels, tanks, welding, and so on.


Responsibilities include:


  • Set up & operation of CNC brake presses and shears
  • Read and follow fabrication drawings
  • Review samples, drawings or instructions to understand specifications of output to produce high quality forming operations
  • Plan the sequence of necessary actions for the completion of a job
  • Take measurements and mark material for forming
  • Determine and setup programs and forming dies specific to each job
  • Ensure effective production operations and optimize procedures

Abilities and Skills:


  • Overhead crane operation and material handling experience preferred
  • Ability to read basic drawings
  • Understanding of materials and hand tools
  • Production or manufacturing background
  • Experience in a fastpaced environment
  • Attention to detail in all areas of work
  • Familiarity with machine setups is considered a definite asset
  • Ability to operate computers efficiently

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$20.00-$38.00 per hour
