What can I expect to do in this role?: You will coordinate with a number of internal and external stakeholders at each of the water treatment plants and transmission system. Represent the Agency in dealings and meetings with local municipal representatives and officials concerning the technical and budgetary components of these projects in their municipalities which are managed by the Agency.

What we are looking for:
Knowledge

  • Advanced knowledge of technical engineering technology concerning the principles, practices, technologies and methodologies for major maintenance and state of good repair within a water treatment system.
  • Advanced knowledge of relevant legislation/regulations/Acts and responsible experience in water/wastewater treatment operations, maintenance, as well as financial planning and administration.
  • Knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act, Environmental Protection Act and related legislation.

Skills and Ability include:


  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to use planning/scheduling software.
  • Experience managing multiple contractors and multiple large scale state of good repair projects.
  • Team leadership and coordinating/planning skills.
  • Task and detail oriented.
  • Analytical and evaluating skills for large scale procurements and proposals.
  • Technical writing skills for proposals, technical evaluations, and memos.
  • Clear understanding of client service principles in providing competitive, commercialized services in a clientdriven business.
  • Interpersonal skills, written and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledge of the financial/budgeting procedures, and procurement practices.
  • Understanding of inventory and records management techniques.
  • Proficiency in office and operational computerized systems.
  • Ability to travel to meetings and various facility sites within the South Peel region
