We are currently looking for an Administrative Assistant-office (Financial Reporting Assistant) to join our team of committed professionals.

This full-time contract position within the Association is housed at the YMCA of Northeastern Ontario's Chippewa location in North Bay.

Under the leadership of the Supervisor of Financial Reporting, the Finance Assistant is responsible for the day to day financial for the Child, Youth and Family Development Department.

LOCATION:
North Bay, ON


RATE OF PAY:
$15.65 per hour


HOURS: 35 per week

Major Responsibilities

  • Childcare registrations, receiving fees, issuing receipts, and collecting outstanding amounts
  • Complete all of the necessary transactions to receive payments from agencies with a Purchase of Services Agreement related to childcare. This includes completing and balancing spreadsheets for analysis
  • Track and collect Bad Debts and NSF payments
  • Maintain a filing system for childcare participants and subsidy agreements, invoices, and payments
  • Prepares invoices and tracks payment for third party billings
  • Other duties as assigned by the Association

Qualifications:


  • College diploma in accounting, business administration or a related field
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in customer service (office setting)
  • Accounting, office and/or payroll experience considered an asset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (French communication skills considered an asset)
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Current and satisfactory Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector
