Administrative Assistant
Devon Transport Ltd. owns and operates over 30 Budget Car and Truck locations as well as Budget Self Storage units across BC. We are looking for a highly motivated Administrative Assistant to join our team at the corporate office in Nanaimo. This is a part time position requiring 20-25 hours/week.


Responsibilities include:


  • Opening, sorting and distributing the courier bags received from multiple locations
  • Process Daily Business Reports (car/truck rentals and selfstorage), specifically:
  • Sorting and processing the daily reports received
  • Verifying sales activity including cash and credit accounts
  • Data entry
  • Filing
  • Assist with the preparation and completion of bank deposits
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • 12 years' experience in an office environment, bookkeeping experience is not necessary, however would be considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office with basic to intermediate Excel skills
  • Effective organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate and interact with all members of the team
  • Selfmotivated individual with a willingness to learn
