Description

• Assist in the fabrication of custom equipment, which can range from outfitting a sea container with insulation, pumps, piping, and HVAC equipment, to prototype equipment fabrication, testing and troubleshooting.
• Assist in the installation, calibration, and repair of mechanical systems and components for automation and facility operations.
• Provide technical support and guidance to team members as needed.
• Conduct preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the reliability and longevity of machinery and equipment in rail and municipal infrastructure settings.

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Journeyman Plumber ticket.
• Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Commitment to safety culture.
• Possess a valid Class 5 operator's license.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• A background check is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of handson experience in maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical systems.

• Dual trade ticket would be an asset, but not a requirement (millwright, gasfitter, heavy duty mechanic, or similar)
• Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, diesel fuel systems, pumps, and HVAC systems.

• Approximately 30% of work will be site work, the remainder will be working in the Edmonton shop, Monday to Friday, typically 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week. Top of Form
