Your New Role:


We are looking to add an
Human Resources Generalist **to support our team by delivering best in class HR programs which contribute to our company goals and overall operational activities.

This role will be instrumental in maintaining our HR programs in recruitment, benefits, performance management and compensation, while ensuring our corporate culture is preserved and expanded on.

You will manage many of the administrative elements that bring our office locations together and will support our Finance team in the cross-functional areas that both teams rely on.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with drafting company policies and procedures and making recommendations for HR policy improvements to streamline processes
  • Managing the HRIS, implementing new modules as needed and maintaining employee records
  • Managing the benefit program, including our reward and recognition elements
  • Supporting the performance management program, providing guidance and support to managers and employees
  • Managing the recruitment of new staff
  • Onboarding all new team members
  • Preparing offer, transfer and promotion letters as well as performance management documentation
  • Supporting the office management activities, including administrative support, office management and facilities planning
  • Supporting the employee events program
  • Coordinating shared activities with the Finance team related to project management, employee programs as well as payroll processing

Qualifications:


  • HR or Business Administration (or similar program) diploma or degree; and/or
  • A minimum of 2 years in a similar role ideally with a consulting design firm (architecture, landscape architecture, land use planning, urban design, interior design, engineering);
  • Experience in implementing and maintaining an HRIS; (currently using BambooHR)
  • Strong project management and critical thinking skills;
  • Strong interpersonal skills, comfortable and confident liaising with colleagues and clients;
  • Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills;
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
