Kollross & Company is a small firm that provides CFO consulting expertise needed by technology start-ups and scale-ups to most successfully grow their business.

The Company focuses on important strategic, financial and operational imperatives for its clients, and is looking for a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to oversee all activities.


As the CEO of Kollross & Company, you will build and lead a consulting firm that helps growing technology businesses with fundraising, financial planning and managing growth, leadership team staffing and development, mergers and acquisitions, as well as handling a variety of operational challenges.

Target clients are software and platform technology businesses with revenue of at least $15 million, 100 to 300 team members, two to four rounds of venture capital funding, and product-market fit.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as a CFO and Vice President of Finance across at least three venturebacked technology companies (mandatory, no exceptions)
  • Financial leadership roles at multiple startups that grew rapidly to more than $100 million in revenue
  • Prior CFO roles with broad management responsibilities beyond finance and accounting, including human resources, legal, corporate development, and other operational areas
  • Must have previously built a CFO consulting business for startups in North America
  • Managed venture capital fundraising rounds totaling at least $50 million
  • Expert level of financial planning and resource allocation skills for startups
  • Successful history of working with technology CEOs to build leadership teams
  • Experience leading M&A activities and equity offerings for technology startups, including leading transactions totaling $500 million or higher
  • Proven track record working across all functional areas to solve business and operational problems
  • History of acting as a trusted partner to startup CEOs and boards, and to mentor and develop client finance and operations leaders
  • Experience across a variety of technology verticals, with a focus on SaaS software, data and AI, marketing technology, financial technology, and consumer platforms
  • Minimum education credentials are a masters degree in business administration and a quantitative undergraduate degree such as economics/finance/engineering

Responsibilities:


  • Develop and establish Company objectives, and approve all policies and programs
  • Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate the operations of the organization in relation to established objectives
  • Determine the Company's mission and strategic direction as conveyed through policies and documented objectives
  • Provide management of human and financial resources, authorize and organize departments and associated staff positions
  • Allocate Company resources to implement programs and policies
  • Establish financial and administrative controls, formulate and approve all marketing activities, and approve overall personnel hiring planning
  • Represent the Company or delegate representatives to act on behalf of the Company in all official functions

Salary:
$101,244.00 per year
