    We are seeking a highly motivated Associate Scientist to join the Formulation Development team within Process Development at AbCellera. In this position, based in beautiful Vancouver, the you will be responsible for establishing laboratory workflows and best practices for formulation and drug product process development and clinical in-use studies.

    How you might spend your days

  • Supporting formulation and drug product development for monoclonal antibodies or related biotherapeutic antibodies
  • Establishing laboratory workflows and drafting best practices for the Pharmaceutical Development function to ensure that work is performed efficiently and in a scientifically sound manner
  • Generating high quality data and technical reports in support of pharmaceutical development, GMP-enabling stability studies and regulatory filings
  • Aggregating and presenting data to stakeholders within Pharmaceutical Development and across the CMC organization
  • Authoring technical reports to support regulatory submissions
  • Contributing to CMC technical teams in the form of investigation support, data generation, interpretation, and presentation
  • Collaborating with our Research organization on pre-formulation studies to support evaluation of preclinical drug candidates.
  • Researching and evaluating technological advances in the field of analytical chemistry
  • Connecting scientific experimental design and execution to key business objectives
  • Providing technical and tactical leadership for the Formulation Development team
  • We'd love to hear from you

  • If you have a Ph.D. or M.Sc. and 2+ years of experience, or B.Sc. and 2-5+ years of experience
  • If you have experience working in areas of therapeutic biophysical and biochemical protein characterization, protein analytics, and/or formulation development in either academia or biotechnology
  • if you have strong data and time organization/management skills; proficiency in multi-tasking
  • If you have proficiency working with data acquisition platforms such as Empower, Compass, 32Karat, etc is a plus
  • If you have familiarity with electronic lab notebooks (Ex. Benchling), experimental data capture, and the associated 21 CFR part 11 compliance requirements
  • if you are an innovator and ready to help new approaches to the discovery and development of therapeutics
  • If you have a strong desire to support early antibody discovery work by developing ways to improve and speed up the discovery to CMC development to GMP manufacturing paradigm
  • if you have knowledge of regulatory filings such as INDs, BLAs, IMPDs, etc
  • What we offer

    AbCellera's hiring range for this role is $60,500 - $75,600 CADannually, commensurate with your education and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. We base our salary ranges on localized market data ensuring competitive compensation. In addition to base salary, we offer equity, annual bonus dependent on team and company performance, and 6% (non-match) RRSP contribution.
