Job Description:


Through your passion and motivation, you will be a partner in growing the Sheraton Suites Calgary Eau Claire's visibility in the community.

You are professional and knowledgeable about our property, and you build strong relationships across the hotel while creating bonds with internal and external stakeholders.


What you will be doing:

  • Contribute to the successful shared vision of our brands by leading and executing on comprehensive marketing plans to support both Rooms and F&B operations.
  • Plan and execute a wide range of marketing events ranging from food festivals, Stampede & festive.
  • Responsible for managing the Sheraton Suites Calgary Eau Claire social media channels, including assisting with the hotel's LinkedIn account.
  • Establish community relationships to grow social media engagement.
  • Work with verified influencers to help tell the hotel's story.
  • Develop and review written content, including proofreading and editing while ensuring brand consistency across different business lines, marketing materials and channels.
  • Attend and actively participate in sales and marketing activities and meetings, as well as necessary hotel and departmental meetings.
  • Design and create various hotel promotional materials.
  • Create strong relationships across various departments, including Front Office, Culinary, Housekeeping, etc., while ensuring information is accurately communicated and operational requirements are accounted for.
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:


Your experience and skills include:

  • Previous marketing experience, with at least 2 years in a similar setting, is preferred
  • Graphic experience with either Canva or InDesign.
  • Familiarity with Social Media channels & management platforms
  • Diploma/degree in a related field is an asset
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, both written and verbal is essential, with the ability to build relationships and rapport seamlessly
  • Proven ability to problem solve, interact with many moving parts and interact with various areas throughout the hotel
  • Ability to work well under pressure while handling short lead times when necessary
  • High attention to detail to ensure accuracy at all times
