You will accurately and efficiently complete the following functions of the job:

Supervision and Leadership:

Supervise direct reports and delegate tasks.
Foster a respectful and clear communication environment within the team.
Supervise all production overtime as required.

Production Planning and Coordination:

Plan production schedules to ensure ontime completion of orders.
Communicate with company personnel to meet production requirements.
Track production pending work orders and maintain data integrity in the ERP system.
Complete inventory counts of raw materials.

Continuous Improvement and Maintenance:

Implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs and improve processes.
Ensure preventative maintenance measures are taken to keep machinery in good working condition.
Inspect designs for accuracy and ensure proper quality of raw materials.

Machinery Setup and Troubleshooting:

Ensure appropriate setup of brake presses, turret punches, and lasers for orders.
Troubleshoot production machinery and perform minor corrections or repairs.
Start up additional machines if basic troubleshooting procedures fail.
Contact higher management for machinery emergencies.

Training and Development:

Train new employees to operate machinery and equipment.
Supervise employees in training to maintain productivity.
Report concerns about employees in training to human resources
in.

Assistance to Machine Operators:

Find and pull parts for Machine Operators.
Set up tables of laid parts to maintain a continuous flow of work.

Required Skills and Abilities

Strong planning and organizational skills.
Ability to motivate and provide direction.
Strong and effective communication skills; both verbal and written.
Troubleshooting and problemsolving skills.
Ability to use measuring equipment such as Verniers and angle protractors.
Solid interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical skills.
Computer literate, proficient working with MS Office.
High level of attention to detail and accuracy.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

College diploma in a related field or equivalent experience.
35 years of proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
At least one (1) year of experience working as a supervisor in a Metal Fabrication environment.
Ability to read alpha and numeric work orders and part numbers.
Knowledge of TS / EMS Management Systems.
Valid Forklift Certification is an asset.
Experience as a Brake Press, Turret Punch and Laser is an asset.
