Key Responsibilities:
- Daily cash receipts for both EFT & cheque payments including visit to the bank few times a month.
- Process preauthorized payments.
- Oversee daily POS sales postings.
- Match invoices to purchase orders & record invoices in Accounts payable module.
- Prepare cheque & direct deposit runs & submit the payment on the bank website.
- Answer vendor inquiries.
- Liaison with the Golf Shop with the PO & invoices for various purchases. Reconcile the clearing account to match the inventory receipt & vendor invoices.
- Monitor the credit card transactions daily & reconcile credit card transactions in Jonas.
- Record & reconcile the liquor purchases
- Provide member service & telephone assistance for member account & statement charges inquiries.
- Reconcile Banquet deposits at the month end.
- Setup new members in Jonas, add billing codes as per their membership categories.
- Assist with monthly member statement creation & overall member account management.
- File GST & PST monthly.
- Assist with the completion of monthly working papers.
- Custodian of Petty Cash & reimbursements.
- Assist the Accounting team with the execution of the tasks as required.
- Be able to identify, troubleshoot & investigate discrepancies which may arise occasionally in Jonas & discuss with the accounting team.
- Assist the office in filing & maintain documenting system for all aspects of the operation.
- Other duties as assigned by the Controller or General Manager.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years experience with basic accounting functions.
- Experience in the hospitality industry would be considered an asset.
- Experience in Jonas software would be an asset.
- This position requires experience in problem solving systems related issues & strong attention to detail.
- You must have positive attitude & be willing to take on extra responsibilities.
- Knowledgeable & fast learner in the computer systems, software, Excel etc.
- This is a clientele facing role, and as such we are looking for a positive and enthusiastic person.
- You must be willing to go above & beyond the exceptional member service the Club aims to deliver to all the members, guests & staff.
- You must have received 2 doses of COVID vaccines.
