What is the opportunity?


As a Business Specialist with RBC Insurance Project Delivery & Digital Transformation (PD&DT) team, you will be an important resource on project initiatives.

You will provide an appropriate level of support (process, system and business) to all types of change initiatives/projects, driven by or impacting the Insurance organization.

This includes Technology projects, Product Launches/Enhancements, Regulatory projects and RBC Enterprise initiatives.

Working on projects and Business as Usual activities, you will become a Subject Matter Expert on various Admin systems, products, as well as Operations processes and procedures.

This role acts to bridge the gap between IT, Operations and other business partners to ensure desired outcomes are clearly understood and achieved.


What will you do?

  • Participate in projects

This includes:
providing requirements, input to proposed solutions, testing and business readiness activities

  • Plan and conduct user acceptance testing, regression testing and Post Implementation Review to ensure optimal results
  • Partner with other Business Specialists, project team members, IT/business partners and third party vendors to ensure initiatives are moving forward and deliverables are being met
  • Participate in the development/delivery of procedure documentation (SOP) and train Operations staff on changes, processes and functionality
  • Provide business/system support to Operations and other business areas
  • Support and collaborate with IT partners to manage and help resolve Production/Technical issues

What do you need to succeed?
Must Have

  • Working knowledge of UnderwritingPro and Ingenium
  • Excellent aptitude for organizing and prioritizing
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective leader/collaborator with multiple stakeholders
  • Deadlinedriven, resultsoriented and the ability to demonstrate sense of urgency
- inquisitive nature and comfortable challenging status quo

Nice to Have

  • Strong understanding of Life & Health New Business systems, New Business processes, work flow, Life & Health products & technology
  • Project work experience
