We are currently recruiting for a breakfast cook/assistant cook position at The Leacock Retirement Lodge in Orillia.
The role works from 600 am-10:30 am & 11 am to 2 pm with varied shifts through out the week and weekend.
These options can be discussed in the interview with the hiring manager
Accountabilities
The Breakfast Cook is responsible for accurately and efficiently preparing and produces varied items of food for our residents' breakfast to exacting standards.
- Sets up for daily production and is responsible for 5 food items: Cooking of daily eggs, toasting bread, preparing breakfast meat of the day (sausage or bacon), preparing sliced fruits and preparing the special quick bread of the day (muffins or pancakes)
- Ensures adequate supply of all required ingredients while ensuring food safety practices are upheld (rotation, temperature logs, storage labelling)
- Prepares station for daily production of orders, as well as prepares items for off shift service
- Receives Customer orders; cooks those orders
- Ensures working area is kept clean, before, during and after orders are complete
- Responsible to know specific menu items, specials, (ingredients,) allergy items, portion sizes
- Identifies any needed stock or food stuffs required for ordering to Manager or Supervisor
- Follows weekly and monthly cleaning schedules
