This is a fully remote position, with hybrid/on-site options available for those who wish to work from our Toronto Corporate Office.
Given the nature of this leadership role, frequent traveling and store visits are expected.RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Leadership**:
- Develop and execute regional operational strategies aligned with the overall company goals.
- Drive initiatives to enhance customer experience, operational efficiency, and profitability.
- Translate Company strategies and objectives to motivate and mobilize regional teams to execute Company objectives that elevate care and drive operational excellence across our stores.
- A dynamic leader who acts as a Company ambassador both internally and externally and exercises excellent judgement in the face of challenging or ambiguous situations.
- Champion a customercentric approach, understanding and meeting the diverse needs of our clientele.
- Implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Team Management:
- Provide inspirational leadership to regional teams, fostering a culture of collaborative, highperformance and continuous improvement.
- Recruit, develop, and mentor a diverse team of District Directors and Regional leads. Coach them to ensure their team has the right skills and support to lead and mentor their stores to achieve exceptional performance.
- Set the standard for achievement, growth and leadership.
Performance Optimization & Business Development:
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement measures to achieve and exceed operational targets in both pharmacy and front store across the region.
- Analyze trends and implement process improvements to drive operational excellence.
- Work cross functionally to be a key advocate for the region, building rapport and relationships to ensure the region has the right support and resources to optimize performance.
- Bring forward and drive business development opportunities for the region, collaborating with other departments to execute on priority initiatives to drive success for the region.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and quality standards.
- Implement and enforce operational protocols to uphold the highest standards of service and safety.
- Identify and mitigate operational risks, ensuring a resilient and secure operational environment.
Financial Management:
- Collaborate with finance teams to develop and manage budgets for the region.
- Drive cost control measures while maintaining service quality.
- Own and drive the Profit & Loss statement for the region, understanding the key levers required for success.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with other departments such as central operations, strategy, finance, human resources etc. to ensure seamless collaboration and achievement of overall business objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration and/or experience leading large teams in an Operations Management, or a related field. MBA is an asset.
- Experience in retail is required. Experience in pharmacy retail preferred.
- Proven experience in a senior operational leadership role within the retail or pharmacy industry.
- Strong strategic planning and execution skills.
- Exceptional leadership and people management abilities.
