Description
One vacancy exists for Pulp Machine Room Labourer (VTR).

The entry level labourer will be expected to provide vacation and training relief and expected to train into the line of progression.

This is a shift worker position. This is a bargaining unit position, open to all PPWC members. Hourly rate of pay will be per the current PPWC Labour Agreement.

Applicants are expected to be able to perform the following, (but not limited to) duties:

  • Clean up of the area
  • Operate forklifts and clamp trucks to load pulp onto flatcars and trucks
  • Provide support to the operation of the pulp machines.
  • Successfully train up the line of progression.
This is a physically demanding position.

Duties and job requirements will include but are not restricted to:


  • Operate mobile equipment for extended periods OR
  • Be on their feet for extended periods
  • Work both indoors in hot and noisy conditions and outside in cold conditions
  • Have good visual perception
  • Be computer literate
  • May be required to be clean shaven
