Summary:

The primary function of this position is to oversee and manage all aspects of the Personal Lines department; with a focus on improving internal processes, and providing prompt, accurate and professional assistance to our sales team in their effort to promote customer satisfaction and retention.


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Develop and execute the organization's personal lines underwriting vision.
  • Manage the Personal Insurance team of employees including training, motivation, development, performance appraisal, attaining and tracking the goals and key performance indicators, and performance reviews.
  • Provide technical knowledge and expertise to producers and company personnel, specifically in analyzing clients' needs and recommending appropriate coverage. This may include development and education of the personal lines staff and, as appropriate, producers.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with industry stakeholders.
  • Quality and service standards, including process and workflow improvement.
  • Document and resolve escalated client complaints, problems and concerns.

  • Engage with the industry at large.
  • Keeps informed regarding industry information, new producer information, legislation, coverages and technology to continuously improve knowledge and performance.
  • Interacts with others effectively by utilizing good communication skills, and providing information and guidance as needed to achieve the business goals of the company.
