_This role is permanent and is primarily office based; however, a fieldwork component may be required._

What would you be doing?

  • Manage projects within the assessment and remediation line of business, which operates within the upstream, midstream and downstream O&G sectors as well as forestry, and general commercial/industrial.

Scope will include, but is not limited to:

  • Stage 1 and 2 Preliminary Site Investigations.
  • Small and large scale insitu and exsitu remediation programs.
  • Detailed Site Investigations.
  • Groundwater Monitoring Programs, including installations, development, monitoring and modelling.
  • Site remediation through use of various remedial technologies.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical support to staff supporting your projects and programs.
  • Coordinate with field staff and senior advisors to scope projects, communicate with clients, execute work, track budgets, and deliver reports.
  • Client interaction and financial management such as forecasting, client updates and invoicing and tracking with internal and external software (Matidor, Siteview, etc).
  • Oversee client and project safety requirements with fieldbased engagement in the form of leadership site safety reviews.

Does this sound like you?

  • University Degree in environmental science/engineering or related discipline.
  • Eligibility for or carry a current professional designation as a Professional Agrologist, Biologist, Chemist, or Engineering/Geoscience.
  • Experienced in leading and overseeing environmental assessment and remediation projects, including contractor supervision, sample selection for laboratory analysis.
  • Knowledgeable of provincial environmental regulations (BC CSR), policies and guidelines or technical guidance documents.
  • Have experience with and can safely operate light duty trucks and have a valid class 5 driver's licence.
  • Excellent soil characterization skills.
  • Proficiency in planning and control of work in a multiproject, deadlinedriven environment.
  • Ability to develop meaningful working relationships with individuals from a variety of diverse.
  • Able to prioritize work, multitask and adapt to changing priorities in a fast paced, high volume team environment.
  • Experience with preparing and completing Ministry of Environmental submissions is considered an asset, but not required.
