Senior Laravel Architect Needed for Structural Audit of Laravel Backend, Web App,

Job description
We operate a live Laravel based production system that includes:- A web application used heavily on mobile and desktop browsers
- A desktop application connected to the same Laravel backend
We currently have a PHP Laravel developer who works on the system continuously. Fixes are applied and updates are deployed on a regular basis.
Current Problem
There are recurring production issues affecting both the web application and the desktop application.
Existing Code Instability
On a near weekly basis, issues arise in previously written and deployed code, even when no new feature has just been released.
These issues impact live users and require reactive fixes.Regression After New Deployments
When new code or feature updates are pushed, unrelated parts of the system frequently break. Changes in one area often result in failures in other areas that were not directly modified.
This pattern suggests possible architectural weaknesses, tight coupling between components, insufficient separation of concerns, inadequate regression protection, or accumulated technical debt.
Stability, predictability, and long term scalability are critical business requirements.
Objective
We require a senior Laravel architect to perform a one time, independent structural audit to identify root causes and provide a clear, prioritized remediation strategy.
Scope of Work
- Full structural review of Laravel backend
- Review of web application layer
- Review of desktop integration layer
- Database schema and migration review
- Security assessment
- Testing coverage and regression risk analysis
- Deployment and environment review
- Identification of recurring failure patterns
- Technical debt assessment
- Severity ranking of risks
A structured written report including:
- Overall system health assessment
- Architectural risk analysis
- Evidence based findings from code
- Clear identification of root causes behind both recurring weekly failures and regression after deployments
- Severity rating of each issue
- Step by step recommended remediation plan
- Prioritized action plan for 30, 60, and 90 days
- Recommendation on whether to refactor in place, partially rebuild, or redesign
The final report must include concrete, prioritized corrective steps to stabilize the system and prevent recurring weekly and post deployment failures.

Pricing Requirement
