Accounts Payable Clerk (Maternity Leave Contract)
Founded in 1975, ASL is a well-established multi-service civil construction company building earthworks, site preparation, landscaping, tile drainage and environmental habitat construction projects.
The accounts payable clerk will be involved in various aspects of accounts payables/receivables, data entry, and office administration.
This is a one-and-a-half-year contract position covering for a maternity leave, working on a full-time basis from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. from our office in Ottawa (Osgoode) with competitive wage based on experience.
Major responsibilities but not limited to the following:
- Ongoing processing of account payables in a timely manner
- Matching, coding and processing of vendor invoices for the construction and shop divisions
- Respond to and resolve vendor inquiries
- Ensuring compliance of company requirements and policies
- Preparation of monthly cheque runs
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Post-Secondary Education in accounting or finance would be an asset
- 2+ years' relevant experience in this position
- Proficient with accounting software
- Excellent communication skills
- Detailoriented and have a strong ability to handle high volumes
