Position Overview:
We are in search of a passionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team.

As a crucial team member, the Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will provide evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment to children with speech and language disorders.

This role involves close collaboration with families, caregivers, educators, and healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive and tailored therapy.

Our clients range from 1-18 years old.

You will have a caseload of 15-20 clients, who you will see on a weekly basis at their home or daycare setting.

An essential requirement for this role is an interest in working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).

Responsibilities:


  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate speech, language, and communication disorders in paediatric patients.
  • Develop and execute personalized treatment plans aligned with each child's unique needs and goals.
  • Provide therapy sessions across diverse settings such as homes, daycares, and schools.
  • Collaborate with parents, caregivers, teachers, and professionals for a holistic therapy approach and consistent progress monitoring.
  • Maintain accurate and updated documentation of evaluations, progress reports, and treatment plans.
  • Educate families and caregivers on techniques to support the child's progress beyond therapy sessions.
  • Actively engage in team meetings, consultations, and ongoing professional development activities.

Qualifications:


  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from accredited university
  • Experience working in pediatrics is preferred, particularly children with ASD
  • RASP list qualification is preferred
  • Member of the BC and Canadian Associations for Speech and Language Pathologists (CSHBC)
  • Professional liability insurance
  • Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficient play skills, demonstrating an ability to engage and communicate effectively through play.
  • Compassion, patience, and a steadfast dedication to improving the lives of children with communication disorders.
  • Access to a vehicle and a valid driving license is required

Job Types:

Pay:
$75,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
