JOB SUMMARY

interviews for this position will not be scheduled until the beginning part of the New Year **Are you an accomplished administrative professional with strong knowledge in the area of adult learning? Are you seeking a new challenge? AGLC is looking for a skilled Content Specialist with adult learning experience and a strong understanding of online training programs to join our SMART Programs team.


Reporting to the Coordinator, SMART Programs, the Content Specialist assists with curriculum construction and policy updates to AGLC's SMART Training programs.

The Content Specialist responds to communications by integrating the needs of the SMART Programs work unit, related AGLC departments, stakeholders and licensees.

The incumbent works with the Co-ordinator to ensure administration and delivery are consistent and according to legislation, AGLC's policies and corporate procedures.


SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Completion of high school with a minimum of 3 years related experience
  • Postsecondary education in a related discipline (education or human services) is an asset.
  • Certification in adult education/instruction or compensating experience is an asset.
  • Knowledge of the _Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Act_, Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Regulation, AGLC policy, SMART Training programs, industry trends and best practices are assets.
  • Experience working in a training environment and/or with online learning.
  • Experience making presentations or public speaking is desired.
  • Knowledge of adult learning best practices, and ability to adapt program content to meet students' unique learning needs and preferred learning styles.
