We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Leadhand to join our Maintenance team in Langley, BC.

This is a full-time, permanent position, with an excellent benefits package, and room for growth.

Responsibilities:

Supervises the work of shift Mechanics with a view to maintaining and maximizing equipment uptime and minimizing downtime
Establish strong relationships with all work groups and work with a collaborative style
Responsible for maintenance and repairs to all plant mechanical systems and equipment
Led the team through the process of troubleshooting breakdowns, downtime reports, and Root Cause Fault Analyses
Maintain Maintenance /Sanitation Activity Tags Log book and provide updates
Report all deficiencies to the supervisor (i.e. employee issues, quality concerns, staff shortage, overtime hours, process concerns)
Shift coverage and shift work may be required
Create a positive work environment
Assist in the ordering of mechanical components and maintaining the inventory of critical parts
Work together with all other departments to ensure a productive team environment and the continuous improvement of the plant processes
Be one point of contact for maintenance leadership during offhours
Report any concerns and/or problems to the supervisor through daily written and verbal reporting
Ensure that all employees are aware of their responsibilities specific to safety, legality, and quality
Perform all other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Must hold a valid Millwright or Electrical license
Must have experience in managing team of technicians
Able to read blueprints and follow equipment schematics
Excellent mechanical and electrical aptitude
Excellent troubleshooting skills able to document findings and prepare Root Cause Analysis

Note:

This position will work on the afternoon shift which is from 3:30 pm to 12:00 am.
