- Provides prompt and courteous problem resolution of enquiries from both internal and external sources
- Provides administrative support to specific members of the functional area to assist in the achievement of goals, effective execution of sales activity
- Achieves and maintains high quality & timely service excellence to support customer retention and divisional profitability
- Ensures the effective coordination and delivery of administrative, renewal, plan amendment and new business documentation
- Ensures the communication of information to relevant members of the organizational unit or within defined channels
- Act as key contact with distribution partners and internal stakeholders
- Utilize knowledge of industry standards and internal processes to creatively provide solutions and timely resolution to complex issues that minimize escalation
- Represent Empire Life in finalist and employee meetings
- Ensure relevant documentation is maintained to facilitate team collaboration and effectiveness
- Identify and effectively communicate stakeholder concerns and act to resolve issues; escalate as required
- Ensure effective communication to internal and external stakeholders
- Provide administrative and service support to members of the functional area
- 3+ years work experience in group insurance/financial services industry or account management
- Working knowledge of group products, contract provisions and administrative procedures
- Demonstrated experience in a group sales and service environment
- Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, email, internet and database software
- GBA or working towards is an asset
- Completion of a University degree in business administration or related discipline
- Well developed verbal and written communication and customer service skills
- Ability to investigate, analyze and present information clearly and logically to a variety of audiences
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Well developed organizational skills
- Well developed decision making skills
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
