Head Chef responsibilities at Paul Restaurant include studying recipes, setting up menus and preparing high-quality dishes.
The head Chef should be able to delegate tasks to kitchen staff to ensure meals are prepared in a timely manner, according to recipes, brand direction and food-safe regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES are:
- Be in charge of managing and training kitchen staff
- Gurantee Food safe and efficient working hours in the kitchen
- Creat one of a kind dishes to the taste of modern Vancouver
- Construct menus with new or existing culinary creations ensuring the variety and quality of the servings
- Cook food in a timely manner, and train others to do the same
- Delegate tasks to kitchen staff and train them to learn the recipes, procedures and food safety and COVID19 specific measures
- Ensure appealing plate presentation
- Supervise Cooks and assist as needed
- Monitor food stock and place orders
- Manage relationships with distributors and resolve issues with vendors promptly
- Check freshness of food and discard outofdate items
- Cost control check of each and every recipe and ingredients
- Pricing each menu item based on competitor pricing and cost analysis considering food and labour costs
- Foster a climate of cooperation and respect between coworkers
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area
- Creat a fun, active kitchen environment
REQUIRMENTS
- Proven work experience as a Chef or Cook
- Exceptional proven ability of management
- Handson experience with various kitchen equipment (e.g. grillers and pasta makers)
- Advanced knowledge of culinary
- Outstanding communication and leadership skills
- Ability to remain calm and undertake various tasks
- Excellent time management abilities
- Uptodate knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes
- Good understanding of useful computer programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)
- Culinary school diploma preferred
Salary:
$50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
