- Minimum of a two (2) year diploma or equivalent in Business Management and Entrepreneurship, Business Studies, Office Administration, or other related business programs would be considered an asset;

Job Description:
Reporting to the Manager of Course Material Services and Retail Procurement, the Course Material Representative plays a vital part in coordinating the adoption of course materials, ensuring course materials availability meet academic timelines, and achieving customer service expectations as the trusted source for course materials. The priorities for the Course Material Representative are to ensure the provision of academic content through traditional resources, digital delivery or emerging technology methods meeting course adoption requirements, supporting student success and facilitating the mission of the College.
The Course Material Representative processes book adoptions, determines the number of textbooks to be purchased from publishers, wholesalers, and end-of-the-semester buyback operations and the mix of new and used textbooks to be purchased. The Course Material Representative prepares want lists and buyback lists and creates purchase orders.
Performing specialized work, the Course Material Representative purchases course materials for college departments and faculty. The role involves frequent verbal and written contact with staff, students and vendors. As a member of the Course Material Services team the incumbent is expected to frequently work independently while contributing to unit advancement. To ensure effective service delivery the incumbent is expected to assist with and at times conduct independently, face-to-face support and classroom presentations, for faculty, staff, and students on the adoption process and systems as well as how to effectively use various types of course materials.
