Duties:

• Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets
• Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints
• Smooth out the excess compound and allow the coat to dry
• Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists
• Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners, ill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel or broad knife
• Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in the compound
• Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place them in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings

Job Requirements

• Language: English
• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Experience: 3 years of related experience
• Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Standing for extended periods; Bending, crouching, kneeling; Manual dexterity; Physically demanding; Handling heavy loads, up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• Personal Suitability: Team player, Judgement, Dependability.
• Work Setting: Residential, Commercial.
• Location: Various Locations in Calgary, AB

• Terms and Conditions: Permanent, Full-Time (44 hours/week) Overtime, Morning, Day, Weekend.
• Salary: $27-28 per hour. Salary increases based on performance as per company policy.
