    Position Overview

    Under the direction of the Director of Access and Transition, the Clerk III is responsible for reception, clerical and operational support as well as data entry for the departments as assigned.

    Experience

  • Data base entry experience required.
  • Previous office experience in a health care setting preferred.
  • Experience using PC based Windows or newer word processing software.
  • Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

  • Minimum Grade 12 Education.
  • Successful completion of a recognized Business College or Medical Secretarial Training program.
  • Medical Terminology certification required.
  • Certification/Licensure/Registration

    Qualifications and Skills

  • Type minimum 45 WPM.
  • Ability to work effectively in a high traffic area with frequent interruptions.
  • Excellent communication skills: Oral, Written and Interpersonal. Discreet and confidential in all Hospital/Patient related matters. Demonstrated organizational skills, ability to establish priorities. Adheres to all safety and health policies, regulations and safe work practices. Able to act independently within established guidelines.
