JOB SUMMARY
As our Associate Project Manager, you will make sure our project management process in new product introduction (NPI) is meticulously designed and changes are made in real-time.
You will act as a liaison between the research and development team and other departments, as well as suppliers to ensure all timelines in the NPI process are met with excellent quality under budget.
You will contribute to the product development process in terms of time management and product development.You are expected to monitor all projects in real time and prioritize and assign tasks to all stakeholders and be accountable for the successful completion and timely delivery of the project.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES
Project Management in New Product Introduction
- Determining and defining the project scope and objectives
- Analysis of project requirements and specifications, generating gap analysis and compliance matrices
- Lead product development projects from strategic planning to implementation while collaborating with other departments, maintaining scope, time, cost and quality initiatives
- Oversee and coordinate the teams, departments or individuals involved in the project & maintain consistent communication
- Lead internal/external product testing, including planning and communication with internal/external testing groups, survey creation and results analysis
- Assist with developing product strategy documents, such as product business plans, function maps and competitive product analysis
- Implementing product improvement plan with other team members, lead improvement project and communicate internally and externally to ensure the timeline
- Lead on planning the improvement of marketing materials, including website and video resources, QSG, product manual and packaging materials.
- Make adjustments to project plan as needed and ensure the site leadership team is informed.
- Review, negotiate and manage project agreements.
- Assist vendor onboarding and continuous partner relations.
- Draft product development related report and lead in version control.
- Lead cloud platform management including server configuration, cloud storage control, cloud subscription and monitoring
- Lead in APP development, customization and improvement, lead in communication internally and externally with engineering team on APP development project.
- Lead in APP launch and configuration in APP Store and Android Play store.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Engineering Manager
YOUR EXPERIENCE AND QUALITIFCATIONS
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering, mechatronics or computer engineering, Master's degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 1 years of project management experience in the consumer electronics industry
- Experience in Video Security industrial is considered an asset.
- Excellent data analysis skills, especially using statistical models and best practices to derive unique technical insights
- Adept with leading in challenging situations with external parties; must be able to communicate extremely effectively and clearly with stakeholders in Canada and abroad
- Possesses a passion for consumer electronics and an entrepreneurial greenlight mindset
- Ability to keep up with our resultsdriven and fastpaced growth culture
- Excellent written and verbal skills in English.
- PMP Designation is considered an asset.
- Mandarin Speaking is considered an asset.
