Dilawri Group in Ontario is looking for a
Payroll Administrator to join our
Head Office team in Mississauga.

  • Have experience in a payroll department.
  • Have invested in your payroll career with PCP certification.
  • Have an academic background in accounting and/or payroll.

Responsibilities:


  • Overall administration and processing of semimonthly payrolls including, but not limited to; changes, new hires, terminations, etc. for all salaried, hourly, commission employees across multiple business payroll accounts in Payworks.
  • Processes manual / offcycle pay as required.
  • Collect/calculate and process all payroll data such as commission pay, hours, RTH reports, salary adjustments, bonus pay, retro pay, statutory holiday pay, vacation pay etc.
  • Receive and review time entries for hourly employees and ensure hours are captured by employee and approved by department managers.
  • Issue ROEs and respond to Service Canada inquiries.
  • Track and monitor all absences. Verify the absence records are integrated to payroll data accurately or input adjustment if required.
  • Balance all payroll data and provide all supporting documents for Payroll Manager's final review and sign off.
  • Prepare monthly WSIB premiums calculations for remittances.
  • Prepare supporting contribution list/reports to the third parties and submit payments requisition to accounting to process.
  • Assists in the preparation of yearend.
  • General filing and maintenance of Payroll / HR employee files.
  • Answers all employee payroll inquiries, ensuring optimal employee relations.
  • Works on projects and tasks as assigned by the Payroll Manager.
  • Maintains complete knowledge of payroll legislation and complies with company and departmental
- policies, procedures and standards.

  • Maintains a positive working relationship with team members and management in a team environment.
  • Maintains customer and company confidence by keeping information confidential and secure.

Qualifications:


  • Completion of high school diploma or vocational equivalent.


  • Canadian Payroll Association

  • PCP or CPM or working towards. Some postsecondary education; 3+ years in a similar or applicable role.
  • Accounting/Payroll experience familiar with journal entries and HRIS systems.
  • Knowledge and use of payroll software; "Payworks" is preferred
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fastpaced environment.
  • Ability to problem solve and to work independently, under pressure and with deadlines.
  • Strong Excel skills and easily adaptable to new software platforms.
  • Willingness to learn.
